BTA Bank issues clarification regarding composition of its shareholders

YEREVAN, June 6. / ARKA /. The CJSC BTA Bank issued a clarification regarding the composition of its shareholders.

The press service of the CJSC BTA Bank (Armenia) said that on February 6, 2014 a statement was disseminated saying that JSC Kazkommertsbank (KKB) and businessman K. Rakishev would acquire 46.5% shares of JSC BTA Bank (Kazakhstan) each from the National Welfare Fund Samruk Kazyna.

The Board of the National Bank of Kazakhstan adopted a resolution number 73 on May 6, 2014 ‘On Giving Permission to Kazkommertsbank to acquire the status of JSC BTA Bank Holding, says a statement posted on the website of the National Bank of Kazakhstan on May 21, 2014.

According to the law of the Republic of Armenia “On Banks and Banking Activity” and the Charter of BTA Bank, the general meeting of shareholders is the supreme body of the Bank.
