Armenia’s commercial banks purchase about $96.35 mln at intra-banking forex market last week

YEREVAN, June 23. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased about $96.35mln at a weighted average rate of 410.19drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on June 16- 20, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, over 5.8mln euros and 887.05mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 555.15 drams per €1 and 11.78 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, about $106.5mln, about €12.5mln and over 145.7mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 411.19drams, 558.92drams and 11.98drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (June 9-15) totalled about 36bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $35.5mln. ($1=409.54drams). –0–
