Total investments in Armenian government bonds rose to 243.5 billion drams in June

YEREVAN, August 12. /ARKA/.  Total investments in Armenian government bonds in June 2014 amounted to 243.5 billion drams, having decreased by 9.3% compared to the month before, according to the monthly bulletin of the Central Bank of Armenia for June.

Investments of Armenian banks in government bonds amounted to about 129.8 billion drams (up 3.6%), while Central Bank of Armenia investments rose by 32% to about 56.8 billion drams.

No investments in government bonds were made in June by non-bank agents and dealers.

Investments by non-banking investors amounted to 31.4 billion drams (an increase of 3.2%) and investments by non-residents in government bonds totaled 580 million. -0–
