Number of Armenian banks’ clients rises 19.3% to 2.6 million in December 2014

YEREVAN, March 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s banks had 2,267,152 clients in late December 2014 – a 19.3% growth, compared with December 2013, the National Statistical Service told ARKA News Agency.
Of them, 79,588 are corporate clients and 2,187, 564 are individuals.

There were 3,910,808 accounts in the country’s banks in late December 2014 against 3,201,229 in 2013.
According to the statistical report, 3,734,932 of them are individuals’ account and 175,876 are corporate clients’ accounts.

Balance in the population deposits in banks amounted to AMD 884 333 million in late January 2015 after shrinking 1.1% or by AMD 9 819 million, compared with the previous month, but growing 11.8% or by AMD 93 122 million, compared with January 2014. ($1 – AMD 479.05). –0–
