Twelve-month inflation 5.4 % in February, Armenia’s Central Bank says

YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Consumer prices index (including alcoholic drinks and tobacco products) rose by 5.4% in Armenia in February 2015 compared to February 2014, the National Statistical Service (NSS) reported.

Food price index (including for alcoholic drinks and tobacco products) was 106.6% in February 2015 against the same month of the year before; the price index was 103.4% for nonfoods and 104% for services, according to the report.

According to NSS, Armenia’s consumer prices dropped by 0.2% this February against the month before, mainly due to 0.6 reduction in prices for foods (including alcoholic drinks and tobacco products). Service and nonfood prices rose by 0.2% and 0.7% respectively.

The budgeted inflation level for 2015 is 4% (±1.5%). –0–
