Armenia’s commercial banks purchase about $48.6 mln at intra-banking forex market last week

YEREVAN, April 27. /ARKA/. Armenian commercial banks purchased about $48.6 mln at a weighted average rate of 472.6 drams per $1 in intra-banking foreign exchange market on April 22 to 22, the press service of the Central Bank reported.

In the same period, about 3.9mln euros and about 362.5mln rubles were purchased on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 506.31 drams per €1 and 8.88 drams per ruble respectively.

At the same time, over $46.5mln, about €4.4mln and 94.65mln rubles were sold on the intra-banking forex market at weighted average exchange rates of 474.25drams, 510.68drams and 9.06drams respectively.

Dram loans extended by Armenian banks during the week before (April 13-19) totalled 31 bln drams; dollar loans amounted to a total of $57.2mln. ($1=473.96drams). –0
