Ardshinbank earns 782.7 million drams in net profit in first quarter of 2015

YEREVAN, April 27. / ARKA /. Yerevan-based Ardshinbank said today it had earned 782.7 million drams in net profit in the first quarter of 2015.

The bank said in a press release that it had improved its standing among Armenian banks to have become the second largest by size of total assets, credit investments, liabilities and borrowings from customers and the largest in terms of growth of credit investments.

Thus, the bank’s assets during the reporting period amounted to 370.2 billion drams having increased by 1%, while its capital increased by 2.3% to 48.3 billion drams.

Ardshinbank said also its loan portfolio in the first quarter surged by 8.7 percent to 239.1 billion drams, including 78.6 billion drams worth lending to individuals, a 22.6% growth from the beginning of the year.

In the first quarter the share of non-performing loans (NPL) fell by 0.1% to 2.9%.

The bank also attracted $16 million in external resources from international lending organizations.
Ardshinbank (formerly Ardshininvestbank) is one of the largest banks in Armenia running 55 branches across the country. It also has a stable customer base consisting of small and medium-sized businesses.-0-
