Gold buying price drops by 0.4% to 16,636 drams

YEREVAN, June 16. / ARKA /. The State Depository of Precious Stones and Metals Agency, an affiliation of Armenian Finance Ministry, has set new prices for government agencies to buy and sell precious stones and metals which are effective for this week. The new prices are for one gram of chemically pure metals.

The gold is to be bought at 16, 636.33 drams (down 69.79 drams from the previous week) and sold at 18, 082.96 drams (down 75.87 drams); silver is to be bought at 225,82 drams (down 7.14 drams) and sold at 245,46 drams (down 7.75 drams); platinum is to be bought at 15 588,33 drams (up 9.7 drams) and sold at 16, 943.84 drams (up 10.54 drams); palladium is to be bought at 10,510.61 drams (down 281.69 drams) and sold at 11,424.58 drams (down 306.18 drams). Net loan portfolio of Armenian banks in Q2 2025 increased by 6.11% to AMD 6.8 trillion

The combined loan portfolio of 17 Armenia-based commercial banks upped  by 6.11% in Q2 2025 compared to Q1 2025, amounting to AMD 6.82 trillion, according to a ranking compiled by  the ARKA news agency.

Moody’s upgrades Converse Bank’s ratings

Moody's Ratings has upgraded Converse Bank CJSC's long-term local and foreign currency bank deposit ratings to Ba3 from B1, aligning the Bank’s rating with Armenia’s sovereign rating.
