Deposits in Armenian banks grew by 5.7% in 9 months to 1.689.6 trillion drams

YEREVAN, 20 November. /ARKA/. As of late September 2015 the aggregate deposits of private persons, legal entities and private entrepreneurs in Armenian banks grew by 5.7% from the beginning of the year to 1.689.6 trillion drams, according to ARKA news agency’s financial and economic bulletin “Banks of Armenia” (performance of Armenian banks in the third quarter 2015).

According to third quarter data, the largest bank by size of deposits was Ameriabank with 246.1 billion drams, which grew by 17.97% from the beginning of the year.

Ameriabank was followed by Ardshinbank with 183.4 billion drams worth deposits (up 1.96%), VTB Bank (Armenia) – 169.1 billion drams worth deposits (an increase of 12.05%), ArmBusinessBank – 154 billion drams (growth of 12.6%), HSBC Bank Armenia – 150.8 billion drams (a decline of 11.81%).

Time deposits stood at 1.1921 trillion drams, having increased by 4.6% from the beginning of the year and demand deposits rose by 3.76% to 497.4 billion drams. ($ 1 – 481.84 drams) .- 0-
