AMD 3.9 billion allocated by Armenian banks for education in February

YEREVAN, April 14. /ARKA/. Commercial banks of Armenia allocated AMD 3.9 billion for education in February 2016 – 0.1% less than in the previous month, the Central Bank of Armenia says in a fresh issue of its monthly bulletin.

In February, education loans were extended mostly in foreign currencies – 59.8% or AMD 2.3 billion (1.9% less than January’s amount).

Education loans in Armenian drams exceeded AMD 1.6 billion by late February showing a 2.8% month-on-month growth.

The average market exchange rate for the US dollar against the Armenian dram, formed on the Armenian foreign exchange market as of June 16, 2026, increased by 0.15 points compared to June 15, reaching 368.21 drams.
