Dram deposits in Armenia’s commercial banks increased by 4% in June 2016

YEREVAN, August 9. /ARKA/. Deposits in drams at Armenia’s commercial banks grew 4% in June 2016, compared with the previous month, to AMD 613.2 billion and deposits in foreign currencies grew 1.4% to AMD 968.5 billion.

According to the National Statistical Service, residents’ deposits totaled AMD 1 581.7 billion in late June after growing 2.4% over one month.

Demand deposits amounted to AMD 448.2 billion and time deposits to AMD 1 133.5 billion.
Nonresidents’ deposits shrank 2.3% to AMD 428.9 billion.

Armenian commercial banks’ aggregate deposits reached AMD 2 010.7 billion in late June after growing 1.36% over one month. –0—
