Armenia’s 2017 budget set to be cut – daily says

YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenia’s state budget for 2017 will be reduced, a local daily “Haykakan Zhamanak” (Armenian Time) says in its today’s issue.

Citing its sources, the newspaper says the government is working on the reduction of the projected revenues in the draft 2017 budget. The newspaper notes that before the appointment of Karen Karapetyan as prime minister the draft budget was almost drawn up.

“However, the newly appointed prime minister Karen Karapetyan did not agree with the amount of projected revenues and spending,” the newspaper says.

According to the newspaper, the  State Revenue Committee warned the government that it would not be able to ensure the collection of planned revenues to the tune of one trillion and 146 billion drams.

The newspaper says  the newly appointed finance minister Vardan Aramyan and his subordinates are working now to reduce both the projected revenues and spending in the 2017 draft budget.-0-
