Around $110 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, October 31. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought more than $110 million from the local foreign currency market on October 24 to 28 at the average weighted exchange rate of 474.77 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 6.5 million euros and 1 billion Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 550.53 and 7.56 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $83 million, € 14.3 million and 521.2 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 475.95, 519.32 and 7.66 drams respectively.

In addition, from October 17 to 23, the banks provided 48.6 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $33.5 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- 475.34 drams).  –0—-
