VTB Bank (Armenia) becomes general sponsor of “Caucasus School of Thyroid” medical forum

YEREVAN, June 15. /ARKA/. VTB Bank (Armenia) has become general sponsor in the organization of “Caucasus School of Thyroid” medical forum, the press office of the bank reported on Friday.

The international educational classes “Caucasus School of Thyroid”, organized by Armenian Anticancer League, took place in Shengavit Medical Center.

“Such a large-scale event is very important for the medial area in the region,” the bank says in its press release.

High-qualified doctors from Armenia, Russia, Georgia and Europe provided practical classes and carried out surgeries.

Some 200 doctors from flagship medical centers have taken part in the forum.

“As part of its sponsorship, VTB Bank (Armenia) is trying to contribute to development of healthcare in Armenia and is repeatedly taking part in organization of various projects in the medial area and promotion of healthy life style,” the bank says in its press release.

VTB Bank Armenia (Armenian Savings Bank before June 2006) joined VTB Group in April 2004. VTB, the second largest bank of Russia, holds 100% of shares of VTB Bank (Armenia).
