Around $95.8 million bought by Armenian banks last week

YEREVAN, August 6. /ARKA/. Armenia’s commercial banks bought around $95.8 million from the local foreign currency market on July 30 to August 3 at the average weighted exchange rate of 480.33 drams per one USD, the Central Bank of Armenia reported on Monday.

It said the banks also bought 10.7 million euros and 1 622.7 million Russian rubles at the average weighted exchange rates of 558.95 and 7.61 drams per one euro and one ruble respectively.

The banks also sold about $107.3 million, € 19 million and 531.6 million rubles at average weighted exchange rates of 481.54, 562.79 and 7.71 drams respectively.

In addition, from July 23 to 29, the banks have provided 51.7 billion drams worth loans in the national currency and $59.1 million worth loans in USD. ($ 1- AMD 481.28). –0—-
