Armenia’s inflation in January 2019 was 0.6 percent

YEREVAN, February 5. /ARKA/. Armenia’s inflation in January 2019 was 0.6% when compared to January 2018, the National Statistical Committee (NSC) said.

It said during the reporting period prices for food products (including alcoholic beverages and tobacco products) increased by 0.5%, while prices for non-food products and services increased by 0.9% and 0.6%, respectively.

According to the National Statistics Committee, in January 2019, consumer prices rose by 1.7% when compared with December 2018, driven largely by a 4.2% rise in prices for food products and non-alcoholic beverages. The government’s projection of inflation for 2019 is 4% (± 1.5%). -0-
