Deposits in banks in Armenia exceed AMD 3 trillion heating record high

YEREVAN, March 27. /ARKA/. Aggregate deposits in banks in Armenia exceeded AMD 3 trillion ($6.17 million) in February 219 heating the record high, the Central Bank of Armenia reports. According to the central bank’s data, deposits in the commercial banks have grown 1.57% or by AMD 46.7 billion over February and 15.2% over one year.

Residents’ deposits totaled AMD 2 249.3 billion in late February after growing 1.255% or by AMD 27.7 billion over one month. Deposits in the Armenian national currency have grown 1.6% or by AMD 16.9 billion to AMD 1 071.7 billion and deposits in foreign currencies 0.9% or by AMD 1 177.6 billion.
Residents’ deposits have grown 6.6% in February 2019, compared with the same month of the previous year.

Nonresidents’ deposits totaled AMD 755.2 billion in late February 2019 accounting for a 2.57% month-on-month growth and a 52% year-on-year growth. ($1 – AMD 486.15). -0–
