Armenia’s total public debt in late November 2019 stood at $7.166.076 billion

YEREVAN, January 16. /ARKA/. Armenia’s overall public debt at the end of November 2019 stood at $7.166.076 billion, having decreased by $49.322 million from the previous month, the National Statistics Committee (NSC) said today. It said the country’s total state debt at the end of 2018 stood $.6.922. 512 billion.

According to official data, the country’s external debt at the end of November 2019 stood at $5.626. 252 billion, having grown by $52.963 million from the previous month. About $5.114.134 billion of the external debt was owed by the government, an increase of $55.326 million from the previous month. The Central Bank’s debt stood at $512.118 million, a decrease of $3.641 million.

Armenia’s domestic debt at the end of November was worth the equivalent of $1.539.824 billion, having dropped by $3.641 million. In Armenian drams, the country’s overall public debt in late November, 2019 stood at 3.424.524.4 trillion drams, having increased by 35.526.1 billion drams from the previous month. At the end of 2018 it stood at 3.348 765.3 trillion drams.

The external debt in drams at the end of November 2019 stood at 2. 688 673.2 trillion drams, an increase of 34. 673.0 billion drams from the previous month, while the domestic debt was worth 735. 851.2 billion drams, an increase of 853.1 million drams.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the country’s public debt at the end of the year will make 50.3% of GDP to stand at $6.94 billion. Fitch Ratings predicts that the total public debt of Armenia will decrease to 51.2% of GDP in 2019 and to 48.4% in 2021. ($1 – 479.63 dram). – 0–
