Armenian banks and credit organizations write off 3 billion drams of loan obligations of families of killed or wounded soldiers

YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Armenian banks and credit organizations have written off about 3 billion drams of loan obligations of families of soldiers, who were killed or wounded during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh, Labor and Social Affairs Minister Mesrop Arakelyan said at a press briefing today.

The minister did not rule out that in some cases certain omissions are possible because of the lack of information.

“The Ministry of Defense, through the Central Bank, has transferred to banks the lists with data on the dead and wounded soldiers. In a systemic sense, we can say that there is no major problem,” he said.

Arakelyan also said that about 9 thousand families who do not currently have a permanent place of residence should receive apartments in Nagorno-Karabakh. According to him, several hundred houses have been built so far. -0-
