Daniel Azatyan elected chairman of the Union of Banks of Armenia

YEREVAN, November 15. /ARKA/. The general meeting of the Union of Banks of Armenia (UBA) has elected Daniel Azatyan as UBA Chairman for three years, the press service of the organization reported.

Daniel Azatyan has 25 years of experience in the financial and banking system: he worked as an executive director of one of the Armenian banks, as well as held senior positions at the Central Bank of Armenia.

Previously, heads of Armenian banks were elected to this position on the principle of rotation for a period of 1 year. The UBA told ARKA news agency that the principle of electing chairman of the Union has changed in accordance with the revision of the charter of the organization and management model. From now on one of the candidates proposed by the members of the UBA general meeting will be elected to this position. -0-
