Asian Development Bank ready to expand joint programs with Armenia – President

YEREVAN, November 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Asian Development Bank (ADB) President Masatsugu Asakawa on Monday, the government press service reported.

It said Pashinyan praised the close cooperation between the Armenian government and ADB and emphasized the bank’s contribution to the development of infrastructure in the country.

He added that the Armenian government is interested in implementing new joint projects, emphasizing that the development of infrastructures is of paramount importance for the country.

Asakawa assessed the cooperation with Armenia as effective and noted that ADB is ready to expand joint programs.

In this context, the sides discussed the ongoing projects on construction of schools within the framework of seismic safety improvement program, road construction, development of infrastructures in health sector, as well as possibilities of implementation of new projects.
