Average annual exchange rate of Armenian dram to US dollar  projected at 402 drams in 2025 – EDB

ALMATY (Kazakhstan), December 5. /ARKA/. The value of the Armenian dram will decrease slightly in 2025, and its average annual exchange rate to the US dollar is projected at 402 drams in 2025, according to the Eurasian Development Bank’s (EDB)   macroeconomic forecast for 2025-2027.

“A gradual moderate weakening of the Armenian dram compared to the current year will occur against the backdrop of lower rates on the money market and a slowdown in economic growth. In addition, the dynamics of the dram exchange rate will also be affected by the growth of imports in the context of strengthening domestic consumer and investment demand,” the forecast notes.

It says that the recovery in the dynamics of the net inflow of remittances after a decrease in 2024 and sustainable tourist activity will support the national currency.

“In 2026-2027, the average annual rate will be about 406 drams per dollar,” the bank’s analysts predict.

According to the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, in November 2024, the average settlement rate of the Armenian dram to the US dollar was 389 drams, which iwas 3.4% lower than in November 2023 ($1 – 402.5 drams).-0-
