Armenian central bank cuts refinancing rate to 7.00% for eighth time this year

YEREVAN, December 10. /ARKA/. At its meeting on December 10, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia has lowered the refinancing rate by 0.25 percentage points to 7.00%.

The Lombard repo rate has also been reduced to 8.50%, and the rate for local commercial banks to attract funds to 5.50%, the regulator’s press service reports.

This is the 13th consecutive reduction in the refinancing rate since June of last year, and the eighth since the beginning of this year.

The previous cut was on October 29 when the rate was lowered to 7.25%.
