Volume of insurance premiums in Armenia in 2024 amounted to 73 billion drams

YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. The volume of insurance premiums in Armenia in 2024 amounted to 73,030.1 million drams, according to the report of the National Statistical Committee of Armenia, titled “Activities of Insurance Companies of Armenia in the Fourth Quarter of 2024.”

In the first quarter of last year, this figure was 23,015.3 million drams, in the second quarter it was 16,381.0 million drams, in the third quarter it amounted to 15,303.9 million drams, and in the fourth quarter, it reached 18,329.9 million drams. For 2023, the total was 73,284.1 million drams.

Of the total volume of insurance premiums last year, 10,675.2 million drams were allocated to personal insurance, 15,815.2 million drams to property insurance, 1,667.2 million drams to liability insurance, 29,752.8 million drams to compulsory insurance for liabilities arising from the use of land vehicles, and 1,143.2 million drams to other types of insurance.

The volume of insurance payouts during the reporting period amounted to 43,430.5 million drams (10,144.9 million drams in the first quarter, 10,316.4 million drams in the second quarter, 11,174.2 million drams in the third quarter, and 11,795.0 million drams in the fourth quarter). For 2023, this figure was 37,442.2 million drams.

Of this total, 17,006.5 million drams were allocated to personal insurance, 4,780.3 million drams to property insurance, 55.6 million drams to liability insurance, 21,376.2 million drams to compulsory liability insurance arising from the use of land vehicles, and 212 million drams to other types of insurance.
