Central Bank of Armenia left refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%

YEREVAN, March 18. /ARKA/. At its meeting on March 18, the Board of the Central Bank of Armenia kept the refinancing rate unchanged at 6.75%.

The Lombard repo rate of 8.25% and the rate for attracting funds of 5.25% also remained the same, according to the regulator’s press service.

This is the first time since June 2023 that the refinancing rate has remained unchanged.

To summarize the changes since June 2023: On June 13, 2023, the Central Bank set the rate at 10.5%, decreasing it by 0.25 percentage points. On August 1, it was lowered to 10.25%, then to 9.75% on September 12, to 9.5% on October 31, to 9.25% on December 12, to 8.75% on January 30, 2024, to 8.5% on March 12, to 8.25% on April 30, to 8% on June 11, to 7.75% on July 30, to 7.5% on September 10, to 7.25% on October 29, to 7% on December 10, and finally to 6.75% on February 4.
