VTB (Armenia) supported the inter-university Universiade – 2025

YEREVAN, April 30. /ARКА/. VTB (Armenia) has proudly stepped in as the general partner for the Universiade 2025, a student sports festival organized by the Russian-Armenian University.

This year, an impressive 18 universities from across Armenia are taking part, with students showcasing their skills in various sports, including futsal, basketball, volleyball, swimming, table tennis, shooting, and chess.

In addition to sports, the Universiade features a vibrant cultural program highlighting creative talents through dance, theater, and vocal performances, along with the screening of social videos.

For those with a thirst for knowledge, intellectual tournaments like “What? Where? When?” have been organized, allowing participants to showcase their quick thinking and teamwork skills.

Ara Avagyan, CEO and Chairman of VTB (Armenia), emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “Supporting the Universiade goes beyond a mere social responsibility for us. It’s a strategic investment in our country’s future. These projects unveil the potential of young talent, provide avenues for professional development, and foster collaboration among universities. It’s especially rewarding to see the event merge sports, intellect, and creativity, cultivating well-rounded professionals.”

The Universiade is a pivotal event for the student community in Armenia. Edward Sandoyan, Rector of Russian-Armenian University, expressed gratitude for VTB (Armenia)’s support, saying, “Their involvement is paving the way for new avenues of student self-realization and enhancing inter-university collaboration.”
