Central Bank of Armenia has not received applications for new banking licenses

YEREVAN, June 18. /ARKA/. The Central Bank of Armenia has not received applications for new banking licensesб the head of the regulator Martin Galstyan, stated at a press conference on Tuesday in response to a question from the ARKA news agency.

At the same time, he noted that the Central Bank is always ready to support the arrival of institutional players in Armenia

“If the applicants are institutional, we will listen to them with great pleasure and try to work with them in this direction. We are always ready,” Galstyan said.

There are currently 17 commercial banks in Armenia.-0-
