YEREVAN, March 17. /ARKA/. In February, inflation in Armenia rose to 4.3% (y/y) from 3.8% (y/y) in January. According to the World Bank’s “Armenia Monthly Economic Update – March 2026,” food and non-alcoholic beverages continued to be the largest contributors, increasing in price by 6.5% and contributing approximately 59% to overall inflation.
The study notes that prices for alcoholic beverages and healthcare increased by 10.3% and 4.5%, respectively, each contributing 11% to overall inflation. Inflation also increased in transportation (3.6%) and education (8.3%).
Armenia’s 2026 state budget projects inflation at 3% (±1%). According to the Central Bank’s monetary policy report for the fourth quarter of last year, inflation in Armenia is expected to be 3.8-2.6% by the end of 2026, depending on scenarios (A-B), and 3.3-2.8% for 2027.
