An additional 10 billion drams will be allocated for a cashback program for pensioners in Armenia

YEREVAN, June 26. /ARКА/. An additional 10 billion drams will be allocated from the 2026 state budget of Armenia for a cashback program for pensioners making non-cash payments. The corresponding decision was made by the Armenian government.

From January to April 2026, the monthly increase in the number of program beneficiaries was 6.7%, and the average monthly increase in cashback per recipient in February-April (the 20% cashback is calculated starting in February and applied to non-cash purchases made in January) was 3%.

About cashback on benefits and pensions

Since July 1, 2022, a cashback program for non-cash payments for purchases and utilities has been in effect for pensioners and benefit recipients in Armenia. By government decision, the program was extended until December 31, 2026.

Initially, the rebate was 10% of monthly expenses, up to 5,000 drams; later, it increased to 12%, up to 6,000 drams. Effective January 1, 2026, the rebate was set at 20%, up to 10,000 drams per month. Payments are made by the 25th of the month following the reporting month.
