YEREVAN, August 10. /ARКА/. The Armenian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ cyber police have warned of a fraudulent advertisement actively spreading on social media, purporting to be a joint offer from AMIO Bank and Yandex Eats.
According to the police, users who believe the advertisement are redirected to a fake website imitating AMIO Bank’s online banking page.
The website promises users a 15,000 drams gift and prompts them to enter their username and password to access their bank account.
Police warned that this is a fraudulent scheme aimed at stealing funds from users’ bank accounts.
The cyber police recommend that those who have already entered their information on this website immediately contact the bank and request that their account be temporarily frozen, as well as immediately change their online banking password.-0-
