YEREVAN, October 23, /ARKA/. Bekor Papazian, head of the Armenian National Competitiveness Fund, said today a benefactor promised to provide the Fund with a site and building, whose market price he said is $35 million, for establishment of Education and Research Competitiveness Center.

He said the Fund wants to make the center first self-sufficient and then raise some $5 in incomes annually.

He said the implementation of this project will take several years, adding, however, that part of the building is ready for work.
According to Bekor Papazian, the Center will be addressing issues in three major directions.

First, the Center will provide Armenian universities with equipment and space for research work; second, it will offer grants to universities for conduction of research work and third, it will ensure constant contacts between Armenian students and best foreign universities and research centers. -0-
