Armenia drams gains by one point against USD

All 17 Armenia-based commercial banks are included in the list of the 1,000 largest taxpayers in the first quarter of 2026, having paid a total of 28.65 billion drams to the state budget, according to data released today by the State Revenue Committee.

Developing Armenia's capital market is considered key to increasing the availability of long-term financing and supporting investment, economic diversification, and sustainable growth, according to the ADB's Asian Development Outlook (April 2026).

The total net profit (after tax) of Armenian banks in Q1 2026 amounted to AMD 103.48 billion, compared to AMD 101.18 billion in Q1 2025, an increase of 2.27%. Moreover, compared to the previous quarter, Q4 2025, the increase was 5.84%.

As of April 23, 2026, the average exchange rate for the US dollar to the Armenian dram, established in the Armenian foreign exchange market, has fallen by 0.55 points from April 22, now standing at 371.83 drams.
