Credit growth to increase 9.7% by end 2009

YEREVAN, November 4. / ARKA /. Growth of credit in the economy of Armenia towards the end of 2009 will increase by 9.7%.

This forecast is contained in the Program of the monetary policy of the Central Bank of Armenia on the 4th quarter of 2009.

According to the Central Bank, this figure will be the result of some mitigating conditions of financing and credit in the economy under the anti-crisis measures of the Government of Armenia and the Central Bank.

In addition, the central bank forecasts the quarterly average loan growth in the economy to be more than 3% during the first three quarters of 2010. –0-
