Outstanding credit portfolio of Armenian banks grows by 1.3% in may to 752.7 billion drams

YEREVAN, July 1, /ARKA/. The outstanding credit portfolio of Armenian commercial banks grew by 1.3% (9.4 billion Drams) in May 2010 to 752.7 billion Drams, the National Statistical Service reported.

According to its figures, the volume of credits in foreign currency, denominated in Drams, grew by 2.2% (8.4 billion Drams) to 398.6 billion Drams, the volume of credits in Armenia’s national currency grew by 0.2% (1.03 billion) to 354.2 billion Drams.

The share of prolonged credits rose from April by 4 billion Drams to 32.3 billion Drams, while the volume of overdue credits grew by 5.1% or 229 million Drams to 4.7 billion Drams. ($1 – 367.5 Drams).-0-
