Armenian Ameriabank takes the lead in terms of credit portfolio

YEREVAN, October 22, /ARKA/. Armenian Ameriabank said today its credit portfolio in the first nine months of 2010 rose to 88 billion Drams, making it the leading bank of the country in terms of this indicator.

According to a press release issued by the bank, the credit portfolio grew by 37% from the beginning of the year and nearly doubled year-on-year after growing by 98%.

As a corporate bank Ameriabank continues to work towards improving terms for proving its corporate clients with loans via pursuing a flexible tariff policy, the statement said, adding that corporate clients accounted for 87% of the growth of credits in the first nine months of the year. It said corporate loans increased by 38% in the reporting period of time. On September 30, 2009 corporate clients accounted for 84% (75 billion Drams) of the bank’s credit portfolio.

According to the press release, Ameriabank pays attention also to its individual clients working to expand and improve the terms for providing them with credit packages, specially designed for employees of corporate clients. This is seen from an analysis of the individual clients’ portfolio which grew by 29% in Jan.-September and doubled over the last 12 months.

Ameriabank is an investment corporate bank, offering a wide variety of investment, banking and limited retail banking services.
