Areximbank-Gazprombank Group’s number of clients rises by 28% from 2009 October to 46,721

YEREVAN, October 28, /ARKA/. Areximbank-Gazprombank Group said the number of its clients rose by 28% from 2009 October to 46,721 people, including 44,211 individual and 2,150 corporate clients.

Areximbank-Gazprombank Group (formerly Areximbank) was established in 1998 to handle financial flows between Armenia and Russia.

It is a principled member of VISA International and MasterCard International payment systems. In 2007 it joined Armenian ArCa payment system. The bank is owned fully by Russian Gazprombank and has 6 branches in Yerevan and 9 in regions. On October 1 its credit portfolio was 42.5 billion Drams.

The Bank’s clients are largest oil and gas traders, including Armenia’s national gas operator ArmRosGazprom (ARG), Armenian Electrical Networks , hotels, pharmaceutical and investment companies.  -0-
