Armenian banks’ total assets grow by 7.08% in January-September to 1.452.3 trillion drams

YEREVAN, October 29, /ARKA/. The total amount of Armenian banks’ assets grew by 7.08% in January-September 2010 to 1.452.3 trillion Drams, according to provisional reports of the banks for quarter three.

In the reporting period of time their liabilities grew by 6.05% to 1.134.6 trillion Drams and their aggregate capital rose by 11% year-on-year to 317.7 billion Drams.

According to an analysis of reports made by ARKA, the amount of credit investments grew by 15.82% from quarter 4, 2009 to 849 billion Drams. The volume of deposits grew by 0.6% from the beginning of the year to 723.3 billion Drams. The banks earned also 24.1 billion Drams in net profits in Jan.-September, by 3.5 times more than from a year before . There are 21 commercial banks in Armenia.($1 – 358.62 Drams).  -0-
