Hrazdan power company stocks admitted to trading at NASDAQ OMX Armenia free market

YEREVAN, May 20, /ARKA/. Starting from May 20, 2011 common nominal stocks of “Hrazdan Power Company” open joint stock company (HRPC) are allowed to trading at NASDAQ OMX Armenia free C market, NASDAQ OMX Armenia said in a press release. A total of 1,597,430 stocks with nominal value of AMD 10,000 were admitted.

HPRC is one of four energy companies in Armenia, producing more than 80% of the country’s power supply. The gross output capacity of the plant is 1,110 MW, while functioning output capacity is 760 MW. Within the internal market of Armenia the plant has the status of a balancing station, generating electricity for internal consumption only in times of deficit in the Armenian energy system.

On January 27, 2009, “Armenian Stock Exchange” ojsc was officially renamed as “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” ojsc. On June 5, 2009, “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” ojsc became the owner of 100% of the shares of the “Central Depository of Armenia. -0-
