In April average interest rates on deposits in Armenian and foreign currencies drop

YEREVAN, June 3. / ARKA /. The average interest rate on deposits in Armenian national and foreign currencies repayable in more than 12 months dropped by 0.11 and 0.29 percentage points respectively in April from March to 17.07% and 12.34% respectively, the Central Bank of Armenia said in a statement posted on its official website.

The average interest rate on a loan issued in Armenian national currency, the dram, repayable in les than 12 months, dropped by 1.25% p.p. to 17.10% and the loan in foreign currencies grew by 0.06 p.p. to 11.72%.

According to the Central Bank, the highest interest rate on loans in drams repayable in 90-180 days was 22.01% and 14.8% for loans in foreign currency repayable in 15 days. -0-
