One of the highest inflations in CIS countries – 5% recorded in Armenia

YEREVAN, June 7. /ARKA/. Armenia recorded one of the highest inflations among CIS countries – 5% compared with December 2010, informs National Statistic Service of Armenia. Consumer prices increased by 4.7% in April compared with the beginning of the year.

In April compared with March, consumer prices in Armenia reduced by 0.2% (in average inflation among CIS countries was 0.8% in April compared with March).

In April compared with December 2010 inflation was observed in CIS countries. Maximum increase of consumer prices was recorded in Belarus – 10.9%, Kyrgyzstan – 6.8%, Tajikistan – 6.1%, Ukraine – 4.7%, Moldova and Russia – 4.7%.

In Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan consumer prices increased respectively by 4.2% and 3.9%.

There are no data on Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. -0-
