Total liabilities of Armenian insurance companies contract by 9.7% in quarter two

YEREVAN, August 22. / ARKA /. Total liabilities of Armenian insurance companies contracted by 9.7% or 1.4 billion drams in the second quarter of the year to 13.3 billion drams. According to an analysis, made by ARKA, the leading insurance company by size of combined liabilities was Rosgosstrakh-Armenia which as of June 30 stood at more than 4.1 billion drams after slashing by 13.8% or 653.8 million drams. Rosgosstrakh-Armenia accounted for 30.8% of all liabilities of all companies.

The list of five leaders in terms of total liabilities included also Ingo Armenia with more than 3.9 billion drams (29.5% of the total liabilities of all insurance companies in Armenia), Nairi Insurance with more than 1.5 billion drams (11.5% respectively), Cascade Insurance with more than 1.4 billion drams (10.5% respectively) and Garant Limens with more than 1.2 billion drams (9.3% of total liabilities of all insurance companies). They accounted for approximately 91.6% of all liabilities of all insurance companies. There are nine insurance companies in Armenia. One company’s report was unavailable. ($ 1 – 367.02 AMD). -0-
