Armenian Finance Ministry does not forecast the second wave of crisis in the country

YEREVAN, September 19. /ARKA/. Armenian Finance Ministry does not forecast the second wave of crisis in the country, said Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan in the interview to news agency “ARKA”.

“There are always assessments regarding the second wave of economic crisis in 2012-2013 but there is no consensus on this issue. There are optimists and pessimists, and I am personally an optimist and I think there will be no crisis, as the previous crisis was very deep. Nevertheless, we are managing to get out of it slowly and do not forecast the second one”, said Gabrielyan.

Now there is more diversified economy in Armenia which will allow to easily face such pressures.

“From the other side, the obligations which we increased in 2009 are gradually reducing and will become manageable in 2012-2013. Thus, we will not have a large financial gap and will be ready to resist the possible wave of crisis”, he said.

The Armenian government organizes anti-crisis events which are priority issues. Economy Ministry of Armenia will soon submit a concept of industrial policy targeted at the development of a number of branches of economy with quicker rates. -0-
