Central Bank of Armenia issues 6 silver commemorative coins

YEREVAN, October 20. / ARKA /. The Central Bank of Armenia said today it has issued 6 silver commemorative coins as part of an international numismatic program “Khachkars (cross-stones) of Armenia.”

The press service of the Central Bank said the coins are called “Khachkar of Kecharis”, “Khachkar of Sanahin”, “Khachkar of Goshavank”, “Khachkar of Gndevank”, “Khachkar of Echmiadzin” and “Khachkar of Noravank.”

It has issued 2,500 coins for each type with a nominal value of AMD 1,000. Coins are made of high-quality silver. The size of a coin is 27×47 mm, weighing 25 grams. The coins were coined by Liechtenstein Coin Invest Trust. ($1 – 377.45 drams). -0-
