Foreign currency deposits are the most popular among the population of Armenia in September

YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. Population of Armenia in September 2011 preferred to invest their available funds in foreign currency deposits, total volume of which was 312.2 billion drams by the end of September, states the data of the official site of central bank of Armenia.

Volume of foreign currency deposits of the residents in September increased by 1.1% compared to August and exceeded 35.6% of all the deposits involved by commercial banks of Armenia.

Foreign currency demand deposits were 116.2 billion drams in the reporting period, registering decline of 5.1% compared to August.

Volume of time deposits in drams was 114.6 billion drams in September, increased by 1.2% compared to August, and demand deposits – 142.3 billion drams increased by 6.5%. -0-
