Former Armenian premier predicts two decades of recession for global economy

YEREVAN, December 22. /ARKA/. The global financial and economic crisis is not over at all and will last at least 15 years, Hrant Bagratyan, economist and former Armenian premier, said on Thursday.
“All the discourse about the first wave of the crisis or about double-dip recession is nothing more than a myth – the world economy will be shaken by the crisis for two decades,” he said.
According to his forecast, 2011 will end in 4.2-4.7% growth in the world economy and 4.5% inflation. In the euro zone, economic growth will even fail to reach one percent – it stood at 0.7-0.8%.
Bagratyan predicted 1-1.5% for the United States and 4% growth and 8.5% inflation for Russia.-0—
