ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK awarded Zolotaya Korona remittances system’s certificate

YEREVAN, December 22. /ARKA/. ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK has been awarded Zolotaya Korona remittances system’s certificate for being the leading bank in Armenia in terms of paid remittances, the bank said Thursday in a press release.

“We are confident that our cooperation in the future will be even more profitable and mutually beneficial. This certificate underlines the importance of cooperation between the system and the bank “, according to the press release.

However, the bank did not reveal the amount of paid remittances. It said it has been cooperating with this system since 2008. The press release said in 2012 ACBA-CREDIT AGRICOLE BANK will continue to expand the scope of cooperation with this money transfer systems in order to maintain and further strengthen its leading position in the remittance market in Armenia.

ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank was founded in 1996. Its major shareholders are French Credit Agricole SA (15.56%), SACAM International (12.44%) as well as farmers unions in all 10 regions of Armenia.

Zolotaya Korona is a Russia-based payment system that provides cash and cashless payment services through 220 banks in 75 regions of Russia, also in former Soviet republics and other countries. -0-
