Average interest rates on long-term loans increased by 0.4% and 0.5% in 2011 December

YEREVAN, January 20. / ARKA /. Average interest rates on long-term loans (with a maturity period over one year) for individuals and legal persons in Armenia in December 2011 increased by 0.4% and 0.5% respectively from November, the Central Bank said in a statement posted on it is official website.

It said average interest rates on loans in drams for individuals increased by 0.6 percentage points, while in foreign currency by 0.1 percentage points, amounting to 19.1% and 15.1% respectively.

The average interest rate on loans in drams for legal persons increased by 0.5 percentage points, and by 0.4% for loans in foreign currency loans, reaching 14.83% and 11.6% respectively. ($1 – 387.67 AMD). -0-
