Surplus earnings of Armenian banks in 2011 rose to 43.1 billion drams

YEREVAN, January 24. /ARKA/. Surplus earnings of Armenian banks in 2011 rose to 43.1 billion drams from 33 billion drams in 2010, increasing by 30.45%, according to Financial and Economic Bulletin of ARKA news agency for the 4th quarter of last year.

The combined earnings of 21 commercial banks last year amounted to 43.41 billion drams, up from 33.2 billion drams in 2010. One bank was said to suffer losses worth 312.6 million drams.-0-
