Monetary base of Armenia in December increased by 13.6% making 671.3 billion drams

YEREVAN, February 2. /ARKA/. Monetary base of Armenia in December 2011 increased by 80.2 billion drams or by 13.6% compared to the last month, making about 671.3 billion drams. As the official site of Armenian National Statistic Service informs, cash outside CBA at the end of December was 398.8 billion drams vs. about 368.4 billion drams at the end of November.

The size of mandatory reserves in drams was about 163.2 billion drams vs. about 116.3 billion drams at the end of November, and in foreign currency – over 102.5 billion drams vs. about 98.4 billion drams to the end of the last month.

Net international reserves (without privatization means) at the end of December were over 470.6 billion drams, which increased compared to November 5.1%.

The size of internal assets in the reporting period was over 200.6 billion drams vs. 143.3 billion drams at the end of November. ($1 – 386.85 drams). -0-
