YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. Bank VTB (Armenia), ArmenTel Telecommunications Company (trading as Beeline) and Visa presented today in Yerevan a new co-branded Visa Alliance plastic card.
VTB Bank (Armenia) and Beeline customers can apply for debit and credit co-branded Visa Classic Alliance and Visa Gold Alliance plastic cards and join Beeline Bonus program.
“At first glance this new card does not differ from other similar cards. It can be used to make purchases and pay for various services. The difference is tthat it can be used to collect bonuses and exchange them for Beeline’s mobile services”, Artak Khachatryan, director of a VTB Bank (Armenia) department in charge of retail business, said during the presentation.
He said about 20,000 Visa Classic Alliance and Visa Gold Alliance cards will be issued this year.
Cardholders can earn bonus scores by using Visa Classic Alliance and Visa Gold Alliance to pay for goods and services in Armenia and abroad, as well as through Internet. Scores are accumulated on the balance of a Beeline subscriber – one bonus score for every 70 drams.
Irina Kamkhadze, Visa Company’s business development manager for Armenia, Georgia and Moldova said the new cards will give residents of Armenia an opportunity to take advantage of Armenia’s universal banking products and receive bonuses for active use of the cards.
